Emily wisely downloaded the offline maps feature beforehand, as cell service can be spotty in the mountainous terrain. This proved invaluable when Google Maps started leading them down a questionable logging road! AllTrails guided them directly to the park entrance with ease.

Tent Troubles (and a Heroic Husband)

Arriving at Laurel Loop, the honeymooners quickly found campsite #17. At 15ft x 20ft, it seemed spacious enough for their brand new REI Co-op Half Dome 2 Plus tent. However, they soon discovered that the site was significantly sloped. Leveling the ground proved to be a challenge.
