Gathering firewood within the park is prohibited to protect the fragile ecosystem, so plan to bring your own or purchase it from a local vendor. The "pack it in, pack it out" policy for trash is crucial here. It's essential to follow these regulations to minimize your impact and, most importantly, to protect the wild horses and their delicate habitat. The bathrooms in the Bayside Campground were functional but basic. Flush toilets and sinks with cold water were available, but there were no showers. While the bathrooms were generally maintained, cleanliness varied depending on the time of day and visitor traffic.
